Rocky Mountain CO2 Pipelines

Greencore Pipeline. The 20-inch Greencore Pipeline in Wyoming and Montana connects various Rocky Mountain region CO2 sources to the Salt Creek Field in Wyoming, the Bell Creek Field in Montana, and other fields with the potential for EOR activities. This 232-mile pipeline begins at the third-party-operated Lost Cabin gas plant in Wyoming and terminates at the Bell Creek Field in Montana. We completed construction of the pipeline in 2012 and received our first CO2 deliveries during 2013. An interconnect between the Greencore Pipeline and an existing third-party CO2 pipeline in Wyoming also enables us to transport COfrom ExxonMobil’s Shute Creek assets.

CCA Pipeline. The 16-inch CCA Pipeline was completed in 2021 under budget and ahead of schedule. This 105-mile pipeline transports CO2 from the Greencore Pipeline at the Bell Creek Field to our Cedar Creek Anticline EOR fields in eastern Montana and western North Dakota. First CO2 deliveries through the CCA Pipeline occurred in November of 2021.

Beaver Creek Pipeline. The Beaver Creek Pipeline in Wyoming was acquired by Denbury in 2021 in conjunction with the Wind River Basin EOR acquisition.  This 46-mile pipeline delivers CO2 to the Big Sand Draw and Beaver Creek EOR fields.
