Net negative Scope 1 and Scope 2

3.3 million metric tons of industrial-sourced CO2 annually

22 years of CO2 experience

We have achieved net negative Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon dioxide equivalent (“CO2e”) emissions (2020-2021)
Denbury utilized an average of 3.3 million metric tons of industrial-sourced CO2 in our operations annually in 2020-2021. This is the equivalent to annual greenhouse gas emissions from over 700,000 passenger vehicles.
We have 22 years of experience transporting, injecting, and monitoring CO2. On an annual basis, we manage approximately 70 million metric tons of CO2 annually between recycled and newly injected CO2 utilized in our operations.

Net zero by 2030

Most responsible companies 2021

5 consecutive years of safety improvement

We currently inject over three million tons of captured industrial-sourced CO2 annually, and our objective is to reach Net Zero for our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 (Category 11: Use of Sold Products) (“Scope 3”) emissions by 2030.
Denbury was named one of “America’s Most Responsible Companies 2021” by Newsweek.
Denbury achieved five consecutive years of employee and contractor combined annual safety improvement, with a Total Recordable Incident Rate below the industry average.
