You have already registered with us using this email address. Please log on the system using the original email.

What if the problem is that my User ID or Password doesn’t work?

Effective October 1, 2012, Denbury implemented a new Applicant Tracking System. Therefore all job seekers, including those who applied before 10/01/2012, must create a new online application. For those returning applicants, your User ID is the email address used at that time.

Using that email address, you can go the returning candidates log in screen: use your email as the User Id and click on password reset. Automatically that computer generated password will be sent to your email address. Using that computer generated password, sign in and immediately choose a new password.

For the First Time User

What’s the difference between using the “Register” and the “Job Search/Apply” links to enter the system?

Not a great deal: the “Register” link gives you most control from the start by allowing you to choose your own User ID and password for the system. It also allows you to create a profile before applying or move directly to the job search and application wizard – it is your choice.

The “Job Search /Apply” link will take you immediately to the search for jobs screen and application wizard but it does not give you the choice of choosing your User Id and password from the start. The System instead generates a User Id and Password that will be sent to your email address. You will need to change both upon entering the system the next time.

(In either case, we strongly suggest that you always make your User ID the same as your email address.)

How do I apply for a job?

Whether you heard about Denbury from a friend or about a great job by word of mouth or through a job posting on line or through an organization that you respect – the application process is all the same.

First sign on to our careers website at https://careers.denbury.com there you will make a choice of entering our career portal through one of two choices: “Register” or “Search / Apply”. (See FAQ notes above for more information on the differences between the two links)

  1. Locate a job that you want to apply for through the Denbury Careers Website. If you have already created your profile through entering the “Register” link, applying is fast. Choose the job you want from the search function, click Apply and the Application Wizard will guide you through the rest of the steps.
If you entered through the “Job Search / Apply” link, you follow the directions on the job search screen, select a job and click Apply. This launches the Application Wizard, follow those directions and please complete as much information as possible. (See the FAQ’s for more in depth instruction about the Application Wizard contained elsewhere in this document)
  2. After you have completed the steps in the application wizard, you will receive an automatic reply confirming receipt of your application.
  3. From there the Staffing Team will review your resume and application and compare it to the requirements as determined by the functional teams Hiring Manager. Completing and adding as much data as possible to all fields and all screens in the application process strongly enhances the Staffing Team’s ability to see your matching qualifications.
  4. If a positive determination is made to move forward in the process you will be contacted by the Staffing Team for the next steps. If a negative determination is made because of a lack of a requirements match, you will not be contacted by the Staffing Team until the position is filled and all applicants are then sent an email letting them know of the job status.
  5. You are able to enter the system and check the status of your application by clicking on My Profile and then My Application’s. (See the FAQ’s about application status contained elsewhere in this document)

Searching and Finding Jobs

How can I search for jobs?

Using the link “Job search”, you can search for suitable jobs according to particular predefined criteria or with a key word search. Hold the “Ctrl” button to select multiple values for one criteria. The results of the search are displayed in a results list. You will be able to find detailed information about a job and you can also apply.

You can save a search with particular search criteria and re-use it later. Using these criteria, you can also set up a job agent, which informs you regularly by mail about newly published jobs. While selecting the search criteria for the job agents, please note that a maximum of 5 job agents can be set up for each applicant. (See the FAQ’s about Job Agents contained elsewhere in this document)

How can I search for jobs in a particular location?

There are two options for searching for jobs at a location. You can use the key word search (e.g. Delhi). Or you can sort your result list according to location. For this purpose, please use the corresponding ascending/descending sort arrows in the column header.

I don't see a job posted in my location.

Our career website is updated on a daily basis, so check back regularly for new postings. You may also set up a job agent to notify you as well from our system. (See the FAQ’s about Job Agents contained elsewhere in this document)

I am qualified for the position I applied for. Why wasn't I contacted?

You may be competing with over a hundred other qualified candidates. Applications are screened for the most qualified candidates to proceed to the next step in the process. Due to the large volume of applications, we are unable to personally respond to all applicants by phone. If you are selected for an interview or if additional information is needed, a Denbury Staffing Team member will contact you directly via email or telephone. All candidates will be able to check the status on their applications by clicking on “My Profile” then “My Applications”.

In some cases, applicants aren’t contacted because the information provided on the profile, resume or answers to questionnaires do not provide a clear and concise description of the applicant’s qualifications for the position applied for. Applicants are free to update their profile and resume at any time.

Data Retention

How long will my data be retained?

FAQs - The Application

General Information

What should I consider in the application?

When you click on the “Apply” button on the job advertisement, the application wizard opens. There are only a few fields integrated in the application wizard so that you can apply quickly. You can upload your resume and take advantage of the advanced parsing technology that populates work and educational details automatically. Once the information has been uploaded, you will be able to review and edit.

In your applicant profile, which is accessible via the “Login” button on the Denbury CareersWebsite, you can specify all your relevant information. You may also attach any study or school certificates to your applicant profile. You need to upload them only once and they will be displayed for all future applications.

How long does it take to apply?

For the first time, you will require approximately 15 to 20 minutes to enter all your details through our resume upload and parsing functionality. Once your details have already been specified, applying for a job takes only a few minutes since most of the information will be copied from your candidate profile.

How can I view the status of my application?

In the course of the registration process, you will receive an email with a user name and a password. This must be changed during the first login. We highly suggest that you use your email address as your User ID.

Using this login data, you can examine your candidate profile at any time and even view the status of your application under “My applications”.

Can I continue to use my application data that I have entered?

You will receive your user data by email after successful registration. Using this data, you can log on to your candidate profile at any time and modify it. All data fields entered in the application wizard will be saved in your candidate profile and will be displayed for the next application. If you have maintained your profile in between, then your next application is based on the updated data.

I have applied for a particular job. Will my application be checked for other jobs?

While the HR/Staffing Department at Denbury Resources will have access to your profile and can consider it during the staffing of vacancies, the candidate must apply to each and every position of interest to be considered as an applicant. Again, candidates must apply to a specific job to be considered an applicant for that job.

Can I apply on my own initiative even if I have not found any suitable job?

At Denbury Resources, you can apply only for a specific job, which has been posted by the HR/Staffing Department.

Can I withdraw my application?

In your profile, you will be able to view the status of your application under the heading “My applications". Select the applications that you would like to withdraw by clicking on them and then select “Withdraw/delete” to withdraw them.

How do I know whether you have received my application?

After you set up your candidate profile and send your application, you will receive a confirmation to the email address you provided. This is automatically generated and reaches you within a few minutes, indicating that your application has been entered in the system.

If you do not receive this confirmation email, you may have entered an incorrect email address. Please contact our I.T. helpdesk at 1-855-860-5627 to correct. You also can log in and see the status of your application in “My Profile” then “My Applications”.

What does my application status mean?

The application status provides information about the current status of your application.

Draft: You have not yet finished your application and have not sent it to the Staffing Team.

In process: Your application is still being processed by the HR department or has already been forwarded to the responsible functional department for review.

Not Selected: Your application is no longer in consideration for that particular position.

Withdrawn: You have withdrawn your application and it will not be considered any more for that position.

Closed: The job you applied for has been closed. No further action will be taken on that application.

Can I terminate the entry of the application data?

You can terminate the entry of your application at any time. Please consider saving the data before terminating it, e.g. by changing to the next tab. If the processing is terminated without saving, then data entered up to that point is lost.

Immediately after successful registration, you will receive your user data from us by email. This (user data) enables you to exit the application wizard at any time and to continue filling it at a later point of time. The job you applied for is displayed in your profile in the section “My applications” in the status “Draft.” Entries that you have prior to exiting are automatically saved.

Your application data are visible to us only after you have completed and sent the application. Please note that you are automatically logged out of the system after 60 minutes of inactivity for security reasons. The data entered prior to that point will be saved. If you know you have been away from your screen for that long, always log out of screen and log back in. (There may be a screen still appearing on your computer that makes it appear you can start reentry of data – but if it has been inactive for 60 minutes – you must log off and log back in to keep you from wasting time entering data into an inactive screen.)

Upload of Resume

What does “Upload of Resume” mean and how do I use it?

Uploading a resume automatically takes the data from your electronic resume and completes the Personal Data, Education and Work Experience sections of a candidate profile for you. You can then review this profile and to ensure complete and accurate data has been captured by the system.

Please note: For the Resume Upload, the system uses a Parsing-Software that reads your resume and automatically completes specific fields for your profile. As the software may not be able to interpret 100 % of your data, please verify, correct and add information as necessary. The following file formats are accepted for “Upload of Resume”:
- Doc(x)
- PDF
- Rtf
- Image documents (scanned documents).

Please note that files that cannot be parsed are: files in table or column format, any resume in a template format, and compressed files (.ZIP).

Why did none of my data automatically appear in the Personal Data, Education and Work Experience sections the after the resume upload?

Most likely, your resume uses a format that has tables, columns, or a template. The Parsing Software is not able to read that data. If this happens, you can upload another version of your resume that is in a simpler format. If you don’t have another version of your resume to upload, you will need to populate that data with information that you enter or copy and paste into each field.

Entering education/training information

What should be taken into account while entering education/training information?

Specifying your highest level of education and training is very helpful. Additional trainings or degrees or certifications that enhance your knowledge level of the job you are applying for are also extremely useful.

I do not find my educational degree/certification listed as choice in the drop down menu?

Please select the field that comes closest to your final degree/certificate and you can make notes regarding your information in the open field for Special Skills / Training.

Questionnaire for an Application to a Job

Why do I have to answer these questions and what happens to the answers?

The questions are created by the Staffing Team and the Functional Hiring Manager and help to specifically request standard application and job-specific information. The answers are compared with the requirements of the job.

Cover Letter

Do I need to include a cover letter?

If you are not sure that your resume creates a clear and concise illustration of how your skills will fit the requirements for the job, then we highly suggest that you do use the cover letter field to enter the information. Otherwise it is completely optional. There is a designated field to copy and paste your cover letter in the Application Wizard.

Please note that text files (.TXT) and compressed (.ZIP) files cannot be uploaded.
